The daughter of Szabsel and Zlata Kowner. The first of twins with her sister Mary (Merka). Grew up in Lodz she became a master of pharmaceuticals. In 1919 got married to Shmuel Tzvi Oppeneim in Lodz and then immigrated to Palestine and settled in Rishon Le Zion where her husband was a treasurer of Carmel Mizrachi wine cellars.
